Job summary

Boulder Valley School District invites applications for a Paraeducator-Special Education at Superior Elementary. This part-time role (0.875 FTE) supports students with intensive needs in both general and special education settings, under the supervision of the case manager/teacher.

Responsibilities include adapting work, monitoring behavior, implementing health plans, assisting with assessments, and helping with field trips and daily routines.

Qualifications

• English reading, writing and speaking proficiency required.
• Any BVSD online application submission is mandatory.
• Ability to lift 50 pounds and assist with health care duties.

Responsibilities

• Support students with intensive needs in regular and special education classrooms.
• Adapt work, monitor behavior, and assist with health plans and documentation.
• Assist in cafeteria, recess, labs, and bus routines as needed.
• Support crisis management and implement behavior plans per IEPs under supervision.
• Collaborate with the special education teacher/case manager and attend required trainings.
