DESCRIPTIVE STATEMENT

OF POSITION:

• Paraeducator position in a self-contained classroom supporting students diagnosed with ASD (autism spectrum disorder).
• Position requires the following:
  • Ability to work under the direction of the teacher, including collecting data;
  • Provide essential services to a student to meet educational goals and objectives;
  • Ability to collaborate with staff in and out of the classroom;
  • Strong organizational skills;
  • Behavior modification experience/ABA training required and/or willingness to be trained.
  • Safety Care-trained or willingness to be trained prior to the start of the school year.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Willingness to be Safety Care trained prior to the start of the school year; Ability to perform necessary physical activities to fulfill job responsibilities; Willingness to engage in ABA/behavior training.

SALARY:

Per Paraeducator Contract
