The White Bear Lake Area School District seeks a paraeducator to support secondary students with special needs, working with teachers in small groups or one-on-one, under supervision of the Building Principal and Director of Student Support Services.
Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, 60 credits, an AA/AS preferred, and MN Parapro test or approved portfolio; training in Bloodborne Pathogens and Crisis Prevention Intervention; and a valid Minnesota driver’s license.
Salary: Per Paraeducator Agreement
Student Day: 8:15 a.m. - 3:15 p.m.. Staff schedule dependent on student need

Start Date: August 2026
Position Summary Performs intermediate human support work assisting classroom teachers by working with special needs students individually or in small groups, and related work as apparent or assigned. Work is performed under the moderate supervision of the Building Principal and Director of Student Support Services.
Education And/or Experience High school diploma or GED and moderate experience working with children
Associates/Technical degree preferred.
Experience supporting students with special education needs
Experience organizing and managing special education paperwork
Special Requirements Must hold AA/AS degree, completed 60 semester credits, approved competency portfolio or pass MN Parapro test
Training in Blood Borne Pathogens upon hire.
Training in Crisis Prevention Intervention within 6-12 months upon hire as needed for program.
Valid driver's license in the State of Minnesota.
