Job summary

Pulaski County Special School District seeks a Special Education Paraprofessional at Maumelle High School in Maumelle, AR. The role supports the instructional program for students with disabilities under the supervision of licensed staff.

Responsibilities include assisting with lesson delivery, preparing materials, managing behavior per district policies, and helping with daily student needs such as feeding and mobility.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED with 60 college credits or an associate degree or passed paraprofessional assessment test.
• Ability to work with special students.

Responsibilities

• Implement instructional activities with students as directed by teacher/principal.
• Assist in preparation of lesson plans, instructional materials, and data collection.
• Be prepared to perform instructional duties as prescribed.
• Know the curriculum content of classes you assist.
• Apply behavior management techniques as directed.
• Assist with students' physical needs (feeding, toileting, dressing, etc.).
• Administer medications and other medical supports as prescribed by the nurse.
• Complete daily work schedules as assigned.
• Assist with classroom maintenance and with lunch/recess/bus duties.
• Participate in inservices, staffing and faculty meetings.
