Job summary

Wenatchee Public Schools seeks a Special Education Para at Sunnyslope Elementary School to support students with disabilities and assist the Special Education instructor in creating a positive learning environment. The role may involve one-on-one or resource room support and may relocate to different building locations based on student needs.

The position requires an AA degree or equivalent or passing the PRAXIS test; bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.

Qualifications

• AA degree or equivalent; PRAXIS test may be required.
• Bilingual English/Spanish preferred but not required.
• Excellent communication, teamwork, and positive social skills.

Responsibilities

• Assist Special Education instructor to foster a positive learning environment.
• Provide educational services to students in the SPED program.
• May provide one-on-one or resource room support.
• Assist with student development and behavior management.
