Job summary

HASC - The Hebrew Academy for Special Children, Inc. in Brooklyn, NY is seeking full-time Occupational Therapists to support Preschool and School Age Programs. Candidates must hold a NYS Professional License and experience with a special education population is a plus.

You will administer assessments, establish functional goals, and develop comprehensive treatment plans aligned with IFSP/IEP goals. A focus on a safe, organized environment and awareness of billing implications is required.

Qualifications

• Experience with a special education population preferred.
• NYS license/certification required.

Responsibilities

• Administer assessment procedures according to standardized or recommended techniques.
• Establish functional and attainable goals and objectives.
• Adapt assessment methods when usual procedures are not practical.
• Develop comprehensive treatment plans that incorporate IFSP/IEP goals and appropriate curriculum models.
• Maintain a safe, neat, and organized work environment.
• Understand the impact of billing on the program and work to maintain controls over cost.
