Job summary
Johnson Elementary School in Mesa, Arizona seeks a certified Special Education teacher for Moderate Disability (MOD). The teacher will implement district standards, design IEPs, and collaborate with families and support staff to create an engaging, inclusive learning environment.
This full-time position offers a base salary of $55,886 per year, 187 workdays, and benefits including sick leave, holidays, ASRS retirement, health and life insurance, with annual performance pay and graduate credits
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field.
- Valid Arizona Teaching Certificate, appropriate for subject area.
- Course work including Foundations of special education, behavior management, assessment and inclusive teaching.
Responsibilities
- Demonstrates knowledge of related subject matter and instructional materials.
- Uses diverse instructional techniques and plans aligned with IEP goals.
- Develops lesson plans, utilizes district curriculum, and assesses student progress.
- Maintains positive classroom environment and communicates with parents.
