Responsibilities

  • Operationally manage Specialty Services programs for your region, including performance data and outcomes.
  • Oversee daily operations to ensure programs are implemented with fidelity.
  • Manage client and district/school relationships and coordinate with UI Recruitment for instructor placements.
  • Lead orientation sessions, training, and coaching activities for Specialty Services staff.
  • Proctor qualifying exams and ensure compliance with education policy and credentialing milestones.
  • Maintain program budgets, projections, and compliance requirements.

Overview

Overview: Unlimited Instruction (UI) seeks a dynamic Pathway Specialist to support Specialty Services programming. The Specialty Service team supports UI by building and implementing sustainable staffing pathways for K-12 roles in education, with a focus on special education and credentialing pathway models.

Responsibilities

In this role, you’ll:

  • Operationally manage Specialty Services programs for your region. This may look like:
  • Managing performance data and metrics tied to key performance indicators.
  • Overseeing daily operations within Specialty Services to ensure programs are implemented with fidelity.
  • Handling inquiries, issue resolution, and documentation.
  • Tracking and reporting on program progress and outcomes.
  • Identifying process inefficiencies and implementing improvements.
  • Auditing systems, deliverables, communications, and alignment to education policy for quality assurance.
  • Keeping Specialty Services leadership updated on your work.
  • Collaborate and manage relationships with key internal and external partners to achieve program outcomes. This may look like:
  • Managing client and customer relationships at the district and school level; anticipating and meeting client and customer needs.
  • Serving as a subject matter expert in establishing sustainable pathways for high need roles in K-12 education.
  • Facilitate and organize instructor orientation sessions, training programs, and coaching activities related to Specialty Services programs as needed.
  • Supervise and direct any program staff and instructors supporting your programs.
  • Communicate and meet regularly with your supervisor to update them on program progress and concerns; bring solutions that address challenges.
  • In partnership with UI Recruitment, assign instructors working in Specialty Services programs to placements that meet client needs.
  • Maintain open lines of communication with internal and external partners so UI instructors efficiently complete each milestone in their specified pathway program; this may include qualifying for the program, onboarding, orientation, meeting credentialing milestones, and conversion to district employment.
  • Attend meetings and contribute to their agendas; lead meetings when appropriate.
  • Implement and refine selection models that evaluate applicants’ communication skills, professionalism, and overall readiness for program participation; review candidate materials to confirm candidates meet minimum program eligibility requirements based on documentation that may include academic transcripts, institutional accreditation, GPA, licensure history, and active current licenses.
  • Manage all elements of Specialty Services pathway supports; this may include an emphasis on special education supports.
  • Proctor qualifying exams as needed.
  • Make data-informed decisions that support Specialty Services’ programs; adapt strategies based on data to meet key performance indicators.
  • Maintain program budgets, projections, and other required compliance requirements.
  • Complete other duties as required and assigned.

Education and Work Experience

As a successful applicant, you must have a passion for advocating for and helping students succeed. Additionally, you will need to:

  • Hold a bachelor’s degree
  • Demonstrate at least 3 years of prior supervisory, project management, and/or client management experience
  • Demonstrate ONE of the following:
    • At least 3 years of experience working in a K-12 special education setting OR
    • Any similar combination of education and experience

Experience teaching in specialized learning environments with intensive special education services or programs that support students with comprehensive needs, strongly preferred.

Compensation

$35-$40 Hourly/ Expected Hours between 15-35 hours a week during the school yaer
