Job summary

Montgomery Village Middle School seeks a Paraeducator Level II to support Special Education Itinerant (LFI) services. The role focuses on assisting instructional delivery and promoting student learning in general education settings as needed.

Hires start at grade 13 with potential promotion to grade 14 after a six-month probation period and required training. The position is 6 hours daily for 10 months, with potential for schedule flexibility.

Qualifications

• Associate's degree required; Bachelor's degree preferred with education coursework.
• One year of experience with students in structured educational settings preferred.
• Alternative: 48 college credits with two years of structured setting experience.
• Successful completion of the ParaPro Assessment with a qualifying score of 455 or higher.

Responsibilities

• Assist with implementation of instructional programs and monitor student behavior.
• Participate in classroom management and instructional support.
• Perform related clerical tasks to support teachers and staff.
• Support students with special needs and adapt activities as needed.
