Job summary

CTECS seeks an experienced Special Education Instructor to join Howell Cheney Technical High School in Manchester, CT.

The role involves educating students with and without disabilities, case management, differentiated instruction, and collaborating with content area teachers to ensure equity. A CT teaching certificate with the appropriate endorsement is required. The position follows a 35-hour week on first shift, with benefits typical to CT state education roles.

Qualifications

• Four (4) years’ experience in a high school setting (9-12).
• Trade career referral experience.
• Experience with services, accommodations, monitoring progress and case management for high school students.
• Experience with varied assessments to inform instruction and promote learning.
• Experience with classroom management and behavior intervention plans.
• Strong oral and written communication skills.
• Experience using Microsoft Office and Google products.
