Job summary

Lakota Local Schools is seeking an Instructional Aide - Special Education / Attendant at Hopewell Junior School in West Chester, OH. The role is 0.875 FTE and involves providing targeted academic, behavioral, and personal care support to a designated student.

Under supervision of a licensed educator, you will facilitate participation in lessons, promote independence, and help maintain safety and consistency throughout the school day. IEPs and BIPs are reinforced daily.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Associate degree preferred.
• Current Educational Aide Permit from the Ohio Department of Education.
• CPR/First Aid and Crisis Prevention training completed.

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized academic, behavioral, and personal care support to a designated student.
• Assist under supervision of a licensed educator to facilitate participation in instructional activities.
• Promote independence and ensure safety and consistency throughout the school day.
• Support IEPs and BIPs aligned with learning goals.
