Job summary

Tutor Me Education is seeking Special Education In-Person Tutors to deliver one-on-one in-home tutoring across CA. You’ll guide students with special needs, design IEP-aligned lessons, adapt materials, and monitor progress in a supportive, family-centered setting.

As a tutor, you’ll collaborate with teachers and parents to ensure cohesive learning, maintain clear communication, and foster an engaging, inclusive classroom at each student’s home.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs and accommodations is preferred.
• Ability to commute in-person to students' homes in CA.
• Commitment to helping students achieve academic success based on IEPs.

Responsibilities

• Conduct 1:1 tutoring sessions for students with special education needs.
• Develop tailored lesson plans aligned with each student’s IEP.
• Adapt materials and teaching methods to fit individual learning styles.
• Track progress and adjust teaching approaches as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams.

At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in CA! About the Role:

As a Special Education In-Person Tutor at Tutor Me Education, youâll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in CA.

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in CA
• Choose from Before & Afterschool Hours or weekends (~10-20 hours per month)

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions for students with special education needs.
• Develop personalized lesson plans and strategies that align with each studentâs IEP.
• Adapt materials, assessments, and teaching methods to fit the unique learning styles and needs of each student.
• Track and document student progress, making adjustments to teaching methods as necessary.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and special education teams for a cohesive learning experience.
• Keep open communication with parents or guardians, discussing student progress and addressing concerns.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment that supports emotional and behavioral growth.
• Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in special education and incorporate them into your lessons.
