Job summary

Tutor Me Education is seeking passionate Special Education In-Person Tutors to provide one-on-one in-home tutoring for students with special needs in CA, including Vallejo. You will support daily activities, IEP-based instruction, and moral support while delivering tailored lessons.

We offer multiple positions across CA, with flexible hours (before/after school or weekends) and a focus on meaningful impact in students’ lives. Commute is required and background checks may apply.

Qualifications

• Must be able to commute in-person to Vallejo, CA.
• Must clear FBI-DOJ background check that is taken in-person.
• Previous tutoring/teaching experience highly preferred.
• Ability to make learning fun and interactive, with focus on student questions.
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting.
• Negative TB Test Result.

Responsibilities

• Conduct engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions for students with special education needs.
• Develop personalized lesson plans and strategies aligned with each student’s IEP.
• Adapt materials, assessments, and teaching methods to fit individual learning styles and needs.
• Track and document student progress, adjusting teaching methods as needed.
• Collaborate with teachers, parents, and special education teams for cohesive learning.
• Maintain open communication with parents about student progress and concerns.
• Foster a safe, inclusive environment supporting emotional and behavioral growth.
• Stay updated on best practices in special education and incorporate them into lessons.

At Tutor Me Education, we are revolutionizing the way students learn, and we're seeking passionate teachers and tutors with special education experience to provide 1:1 in-home tutoring in CA! About the Role:

As a Special Education In-Person Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in CA.

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in CA
• Earn $25-$35 per hour
• Choose from Before & Afterschool Hours or weekends (~10-20 hours per month)

Your Responsibilities:

• Conduct engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions for students with special education needs.
• Develop personalized lesson plans and strategies that align with each student’s IEP.
