Tutor Me Education in California seeks passionate Special Education In-Person Tutors to deliver personalized 1:1 tutoring in students' homes. You will support students with IEP goals and adapt lessons to meet individual needs.

This role requires in-home commuting to CA areas, experience with special needs, and the ability to pass an in-person background check. Flexible hours include before/after school and weekends.

Formación

• Experience working with students with special needs and accommodations is highly preferred.
• Must be enrolled in College or have completed an AA, BA or higher.
• Must be able to commute in-person.
• Must pass an in-person FBI-DOJ background check

Responsabilidades

• Conduct engaging 1:1 tutoring sessions for students with special education needs.
• Develop personalized lesson plans and strategies that align with each student’s IEP.
• Adapt materials, assessments, and teaching methods to fit the unique learning styles and needs of each student.
• Track and document student progress, making adjustments to teaching methods as necessary.
• Collaborate with classroom teachers, parents, and special education teams for a cohesive learning experience.
• Keep open communication with parents or guardians, discussing student progress and addressing concerns.
• Foster a safe and inclusive environment that supports emotional and behavioral growth.
• Stay up to date on the latest trends and best practices in special education and incorporate them into your lessons.

About the Role:

As a Special Education In-Person Tutor at Tutor Me Education, you’ll provide personalized, one-on-one tutoring to students with special needs in their homes. You will be responsible for helping students with daily activities, offering moral support, and delivering tailored instruction based on their Individualized Education Plan (IEP).

We are currently hiring for multiple positions across all cities in CA.

Details:

• In-Person Tutoring in CA
• Earn $25-$35per hour
• Choose from Before & Afterschool Hours or weekends (~10-20 hours per month)

Requirements

Job requirements:

• Ability to commute to/from Vallejo, CA REQUIRED
• Must clear FBI-DOJ background check that is taken in-person
• Previous tutoring/teaching experience highly preferred
• Ability to make learning fun and interactive, with the focus of the tutoring often determined by student questions and comments
• Comfortable working in a classroom setting
• Negative TB Test Result
