Job summary

Corvallis School District 509J seeks a paraeducator to assist licensed staff in implementing IEPs and providing individualized and small-group instruction for students with moderate to severe disabilities. You will help collect data, adapt lessons, monitor progress, and support behavior management under supervision.

The role starts for the 2026/2027 school year, involves 7 hours per day across 181 work days, and carries a pay rate of $24.25 per hour with benefits.

Qualifications

• Associate degree or higher or passing district assessment.
• Ability to communicate effectively with parents and staff.
• Desirable experience with special needs students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing instructional programs for students with moderate to severe disabilities under licensed staff.
• Support small-group and one-on-one instruction; adapt activities to IEP goals.
• Record developmental data and provide feedback to licensed staff.
• Supervise students during class, bus, playground or community activities as needed.
• Assist with behavior management and safe student interactions; model appropriate conduct.
