Responsibilities

• Adapts classroom work to support and reinforce objectives.
• Administers first aid and assistance to medically fragile children.
• Advises parents/guardians of student progress to support home learning.
• Assesses students’ social, academic, and progress needs for placement and outcomes.
• Collaborates with school personnel, parents, and community agencies to improve outcomes.
• Directs instructional assistants and volunteers to support the program.
• Instructs students to improve academic, interpersonal, and daily living skills.
• Manages student behavior to maintain a safe learning environment.
• Prepares teaching materials and reports to implement lessons and document progress.
• Reports incidents to maintain safety and adherence to policies.
