Job summary

Qualifications

• A high school diploma and either 48 college units or an AA degree, or a passing CBEST proficiency exam.
• Successful completion of the Instructional Assistant Proficiency Examination or appropriate certification.
• Must pass pre-employment fingerprinting and TB testing.

Responsibilities

• Communicate regularly with instructional team on daily performance and student needs.
• Assist students with special needs using equipment or instructional media.
• Assist with social development using reinforcement techniques and activities.
• Assist in transportation and transfer of students between buses and classrooms.
• Support students with diverse disabilities and maintain records for special education programs.
