GREENLAWN TERRACE ELEMENTARY in Kenner, LA seeks an Elementary Teacher (Target School + Target Content) with SPED Autistic designation. Immediate starting date; 183-day work year; salary commensurate with experience.

A district stipend of $2,000 is offered for teachers who select a target school in the first year. Target content areas include Special Education, Math, Physics, Chemistry, ESL, with content subject to shortages. Valid Louisiana Level 1+ Teaching Certificate required.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's Degree with valid teaching certificate.
• Certification in area of assignment.
• Eligible for Practitioner's License as confirmed by a local university.
• 183-day work year as stated by district.

Responsibilities

• Promote student development across mental, physical, emotional and social domains.
• Use varied instructional materials and methods to support achievement.
• Maintain accurate records (attendance, health, report cards, folders).
• Plan and prepare weekly lesson plans and assessments.
• Communicate regularly with parents about progress and needs.
• Adhere to state and parish policies for student health and welfare.
