Qualifications

• BS/BA degree required
• Valid Michigan Teaching Certificate with an Emotional Impairment endorsement required
• Experience with diverse urban student populations preferred
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs and behavioral plans preferred

Responsibilities

• Provide individualized, small group, and whole-group instruction.
• Monitor student progress in academics and behavior.
• Maintain a safe, orderly classroom and address health-related student needs.
• Plan curricula, lessons, and behavior and education programs.
• Coordinate with staff for services and conduct IEP team meetings.
