School Level: Pre-K through Grade 8

School Year: 2025-26

About the Role

The Lamoine School is seeking a dedicated and compassionate Special Education Educational Technician to join our supportive team serving students in a small, community-centered Pre-K to Grade 8 school on the beautiful coast of Maine.

Responsibilities Include
  • Providing academic and behavioral support to students with IEPs, under the supervision of a certified special education teacher.
  • Supporting students in inclusive classroom settings, small groups, or one-on-one.
  • Implementing accommodations and modifications as outlined in IEPs.
  • Assisting with data collection and documentation of student progress.
  • Collaborating with classroom teachers, special educators, and support staff to meet student needs.
  • Fostering a positive, respectful, and inclusive learning environment.
Qualifications and Characteristics
  • Maine Department of Education Ed Tech II or III Authorization (or willingness to obtain).
  • Experience working with children with disabilities preferred.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and work as part of a team.
  • Genuine interest in working with children.
  • Flexibility and adaptability to work in various situations and settings.
  • Strong work ethic and commitment to the program.
