Job summary

ServingSchools is seeking a Special Education Ed Tech III in Maine. Plan and deliver instruction under the guidance of a Special Education Teacher, supporting students individually or in small groups within the classroom.

Applicants should have experience with students with special needs and be capable of following IEPs and behavior plans. Strong teamwork and effective communication are essential.

Qualifications

• Experience with students who have special needs preferred.
• Ability to follow Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and implement behavior plans.
• Knowledge of literacy and mathematics instructional strategies preferred.
• Ability to use Safety Care strategies to maintain safe student behaviors.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Current Maine DOE Certification and CHRC Authorization required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and deliver instruction under the guidance of a Special Education Teacher.
• Provide instruction direction to individuals or small groups as needed.
• Support students in classroom settings and monitor progress.

Job description

DESCRIPTION: Plan and deliver instruction under the guidance of a Special Education Teacher. As an ed tech III, you may be providing direction individually or in a small group, or supporting students in a classroom.

Applicants should be willing to learn or have the following skills:

• Experience working with students who have special needs preferred
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff
• Ability to follow Individual Education Plans and implement behavior plans necessary
• Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques in the area of literacy and mathematics preferred
• Ability to use strategies (Safety Care) to maintain safe student behaviors
• Ability to work as part of a team required

QUALIFICATIONS: Current State of Maine Department of Education Certification and CHRC Authorization.
