Job summary

Jefferson Village School in Jefferson, ME seeks an Educational Technician II/III for Resource Room and Functional Life Skills support. This 7-hour daily role runs 8:00am–3:00pm, with authorization required and a focus on supporting students with special needs.

Collaboration with case managers, staff, BCBA, and principals is essential to implement IEPs and behavior plans. Experience with literacy and mathematics strategies is preferred, and proficiency with Safety Care techniques will help

Qualifications

• Authorization as Educational Technician II or III required.
• Experience with special needs students preferred.
• Ability to follow IEPs and implement behavior plans necessary.
• Ability to communicate effectively with students and staff.
• Work successfully with case managers, teaching staff, BCBA, principal, and Director of Special Services.
• Knowledge of instructional strategies and techniques in literacy and mathematics preferred.
• Ability to use strategies (Safety Care) to maintain safe student behaviors (District will provide training).
• Ability to work as part of a team required.
