Job summary

Global Psychological is hiring for a senior special education leadership role in Flint, MI. The position governs compliance, documentation, and service delivery under IEP guidelines, with responsibilities spanning program development, staff supervision, and collaboration with district teams.

Qualifications

  • Supervisor, Administrator, or Director certification (or in process).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of special education experience.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain compliance with special education laws, including documentation and record-keeping.
  • Ensure accurate attendance tracking and proper accommodations per IEP guidelines.
  • Prepare reports, IEPs, 504s, audits, and student logs.
  • Guide the development of individualized instruction methods.
  • Oversee and adapt special education services, behavior plans, and assistive technology.
  • Collaborate with the District Discipline Team to ensure fair disciplinary actions and interventions.
  • Develop, implement, and evaluate special education programs with leadership.
  • Investigate and resolve program-related emergencies and compliance issues.
  • Provide training, coaching, and support to special education teachers and staff.
  • Supervise staff schedules, performance, and time records.
  • Conduct evaluations, address performance concerns, and implement corrective actions.
  • Participate in hiring and recruitment when needed.
  • Attend county, state, and district meetings to stay updated on policies and best practices.
  • Maintain clear communication with leadership, administrators, and school personnel.
  • Perform additional duties as assigned.

Salary Range: $80,000.00 To $90,000.00 Annually

Requirements
  • Master’s degree in special education or related field (or in process).
  • Possess current Michigan teaching certificate (or equivalent) with a special education endorsement, or related special education support (i.e., School Social Work, School Psychology, Speech-Language Pathology, etc.).
  • Supervisor, Administrator, or Director certification (or in process).
  • Minimum of five (5) years of special education experience.
