Qualifications

• At least 48 college hours completed; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Experience assisting students with cognitive and/or developmental disabilities preferred.
• Willingness to pursue Special Education certification.

Responsibilities

• Assist in educational and social development of students under supervision.
• Support implementation of Individual Education Plans and monitor progress.
• Provide student support inside and outside the classroom to enable full participation.
• Collaborate with speech therapists, social workers, and therapists.
• Maintain student records and assist with daily living activities when needed.
• Occasionally assist with school bus duties before or after school.
