Job summary

Great Hearts Academies seeks a Special Education Instructional Assistant at Great Hearts Trivium Preparatory in Goodyear, AZ. You will support students in general and special education settings under certified teachers to promote inclusive learning.

The role requires a high school diploma or higher (associate degree preferred) and experience in special education. Excellent communication skills and an interest in reading great books are essential. US work authorization is required.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher; associate degree preferred.
• Experience in special education.
• Excellent oral and written communication; reading great books.
• U.S. work authorization required; OPT/CPT accepted.
• Criminal history background check and fingerprint clearance may be required.

Responsibilities

• Support students in small groups or 1:1.
• Assist students with assignments, homework, and projects.
• Adapt materials and provide modifications to help learning.
• Reinforce classroom rules and support behavior management.
• Provide clerical support and attend meetings.
• Assist with transitions, personal hygiene, mobility, and equipment.
