Job summary

Great Hearts Academies in Arizona seeks a Special Education Instructional Assistant to support students in general and special education settings under licensed teachers. This hourly position collaborates across classrooms to promote learning and inclusion on campus.

The role requires a high school diploma or higher, possibly an associate degree, and experience in special education. Excellent communication and an interest in reading great books are valued.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or higher.
• Associate degree (preferred) or 60 credit hours, or passing ADE assessment.

Responsibilities

• Academic Support: assist students in small groups or 1:1 and help with assignments.
• Behavior Support: monitor behavior and reinforce classroom rules and SDI concepts.
• Additional Support: assist with transitions, personal care tasks as needed, and maintain a supportive learning environment.
