The Granite School District seeks an Instructional Assistant to support students with disabilities under the supervision of certified staff. You will help implement IEPs, supervise students, and provide instructional and clerical tasks in a school setting.

You will work closely with teachers, nurses, and therapists to promote safety and learning, including health care and mobility support as needed, in classroom and community environments.

Formación

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience working with students with disabilities preferred.
• Skilled in interpersonal relations for effective work with staff and students.
• Flexible and adaptive in responding to student needs.
• Ability to show initiative within authorized limits.
• Ability to follow through and complete assigned tasks.

Responsabilidades

• Works under the direction of certified staff (teacher, therapist, nurse, administrator) in implementing students' IEP.
• Supervises students indoors, outdoors, and in the community to ensure their safety.
• Provides clerical services, prepares instructional materials, collects data, and performs other instructional tasks as assigned.
• Assists nurses with health care tasks under direction of the school nurse.
• Assists with motor development programs under therapists.
• Communicates with hearing and vision impaired.
• Works with students in and around swimming and therapy pools.
• Attendance and physical presence are essential.
