Job summary

This is a non-tenured, annual-review position. The ideal candidate holds a high school diploma, with preferred RBT certification and a focus on student development, behavior support, and teamwork.

Qualifications

• A high school diploma or GED is required.
• Special Education Competency Assessment within 90 working days.
• RBT certification preferred, or required if serving in an RBT capacity.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Flexibility to adapt to varied student schedules and needs.
• Maintain FERPA confidentiality.
• Ability to travel between work sites as needed.

Responsibilities

• Perform instructional and non-instructional activities as assigned by the teacher and supervisor.
• Supervise pupils in school and community as assigned.
• Use positive behavior support strategies to manage student behavior.
• Collaborate with IEP team to develop educational programs.
• Maintain updated records and complete paperwork including progress monitoring.
• Demonstrate ability to utilize technology.
• Attend and participate in staff meetings.
• Adhere to procedures, policies, and regulations.
