Job summary

Qualifications

• Education level: Associates degree or higher from an accredited college.
• Minimum of 48 hours of college credit from an accredited college or pass a Work Keys test as determined by the Mississippi Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Direct any activity that will free the supervising teacher for instruction.
• Meet and instruct assigned classes at the assigned school and times designated by teacher and principal.
• Participate in daily and long-range lesson and classroom activity planning.
• Guide small groups of students in independent study, enrichment work, and remedial work to reinforce material.
• Provide assistance in toileting needs and supervise makeup work and testing as assigned by the supervising teacher.
• Maintain confidentiality and uphold district policies; ensure attendance and records are accurate.
