Job summary

Delta-T Group Illinois, Inc. is seeking compassionate Paraprofessionals to support students ages 5-17 with autism and other disabilities in Bannockburn, IL.

You will assist with instructional activities and IEP implementation in a structured, therapeutic day school environment. Responsibilities include one-to-one and small-group support, behavior management, and daily living and social skills development alongside dedicated school staff.

Qualifications

• Previous experience working with children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow direction and work collaboratively with school staff.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Experience supporting students with special needs is a plus.
• Minimum education requirement: High School Diploma or equivalent (associates or higher preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide direct classroom support to students with autism, developmental disabilities, emotional disabilities, and other special needs in a therapeutic day school setting.
• Assist the teacher in implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs), behavior intervention plans, and instructional activities.
• Support students with academic tasks, communication development, social skills training, and daily living skills.
• Assist with behavior management strategies and crisis intervention techniques as directed by classroom staff.
• Provide one-to-one and small-group support to help students meet educational and behavioral goals.
