Job summary

Delta-T Group Illinois, Inc. is seeking dedicated paraprofessionals to support students in Channahon, IL. You will assist teachers, help students with academics and social development, and contribute to a safe, structured classroom.

Ideal candidates have patience, strong communication, and the ability to work with diverse learning needs. High School Diploma or equivalent required; associates or higher preferred.

Qualifications

• Previous experience with children or in an educational setting preferred.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to follow directions and work with school staff.
• Patience, flexibility, and a positive attitude.
• Experience supporting students with special needs is a plus.
• Minimum education: High School Diploma or equivalent (associates or higher preferred).

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom support under the direction of the lead teacher
• Assist students with academic tasks, assignments, and instructional activities
• Support students with behavioral management and social development
• Work one-on-one or in small groups to reinforce learning concepts
• Help maintain a safe, structured, and positive classroom environment
• Assist with daily routines, transitions, and supervision (e.g., lunch, recess)
• Document student progress and communicate effectively with staff
