Job summary

The Wolf School in East Providence, RI is seeking a Classroom Teacher Assistant to support teachers and therapists in delivering a modified, therapeutically guided curriculum to students in grades K-8 with learning differences. You will greet students, assist with lesson materials, track progress, support small groups, and help coordinate field trips and classroom operations.

This role emphasizes teamwork, flexibility, and strong communication with families and staff.

Qualifications

• At least 3 year(s) of relevant experience preferred.
• Bachelor degree preferred.
• Citizenship, residency or work visa required

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with and support classroom teacher, occupational therapist, and speech pathologist to implement lesson plans related to the curriculum.
• Greet students in the morning and take daily attendance of all students.
• Create and/or produce classroom materials based on curriculum needs.
• Assist team with documenting individual student progress to team members.
• Support classroom team by managing small groups and providing direct instruction.
• Provide support to art/music teacher and assist with classroom management during lesson.
• Help develop and implement classroom behavior protocols and academic plans.
• Read files on particular students and keep up to date with new information.
• Assist with writing weekly newsletters and classroom website.
