Job summary

School City of Hammond is seeking an experienced case manager to support the delivery, monitoring, and assessment of special education procedures and programming. The role includes ensuring appropriate curriculum, accommodations, and access to technology for students, and serving as Department Chairperson at the high school level.

The position requires Indiana teaching licensure, a Bachelor’s in Education (Master’s preferred), and strong knowledge of Indiana IEPs.

Qualifications

Valid Indiana Teaching License required.
Bachelor’s Degree in Education; Master’s preferred.
Experience with Indiana IEP processes and policies.
Minimum of three years in education.
Familiarity with Special Education licenses and procedures.

Responsibilities

Assist the principal with delivery, monitoring, and assessment of special education procedures and programming.
Ensure curriculum meets students' needs and provide access to accommodations and technology.
Serve as Department Chairperson at the high school level and liaison with special education office.
Provide IEP training to staff and lead case conferences as chairperson.
Collaborate with parents, teachers, and administrators to implement RTI processes.
Attend monthly staffing, case manager meetings, and trainings.
Complete data collection, observations, and academic achievement testing as needed.
Other duties as assigned by the Special Education Director.
