Job summary

Child Guidance Resource Centers (CGRC) in Havertown, PA, seeks a Regular-10 10 Mo Salary Spread Full-Time Counselor to provide academic support and behavioral health interventions in the school setting, including crisis intervention techniques and emotional support for students. The role includes assessment, IEP-related tasks, supervision, and collaboration with families and staff.

Responsibilities include implementing IEPs, monitoring progress, data reporting, medication oversight under RN

Responsibilities

• Provides behavioral support, as prescribed in the student IEP, including crisis intervention, emotional support, time-structuring activities and psychosocial rehabilitation.
• Supports teachers in implementing the IEP in the classroom and lesson delivery.
• Monitors daily progress and data on goals as prescribed in the treatment plan; provides data for evaluations and IEP.
• Maintains consistent communication with families and team members on the client’s progress.
• Supervises self-administration of client medications; confirms understanding of dose and side effects under RN guidance.
• Facilitates Social Skills groups and conducts assessments of strengths and therapeutic needs.
• Intervenes in crisis situations and provides immediate assistance as needed.
• Completes documentation within determined timeframes; adheres to CGRC compliance procedures.
• Participates in required supervision and training in accordance with program guidelines.
