Qualifications

• Ability to work with children with disabilities.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.

• Knowledge of general office equipment.

Responsibilities

• Instructional Support: help prepare instructional materials and classroom displays; maintain a neat and orderly classroom; assist with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment; help teacher keep administrative records and reports; assist substitutes.
• Student Management: assist students with physical disabilities, including transfers to/from wheelchairs; assist with personal care and daily needs; help manage behavior and intervene when necessary; monitor and support learning for individual students or small groups; supervise students during lunch, bus, and playground.
• Other: maintain confidentiality; participate in staff development and meetings.
