The role involves implementing the IEP-based instruction, adjusting teaching to meet each student's academic, medical, developmental, and technological needs, and filling teacher duties during absences. The Southern Maryland Campus serves students in grades K-8 and ages 5-21 for certificates of completion, operating on an 11-month program.

Qualificações

• Professional Crisis Management (PCM) training provided by the department.
• Employee must achieve and maintain PCM certification at the Practitioner level or higher.

Responsabilidades

• Assist with the implementation of instruction in accordance with students' IEP in cooperation with a supervising teacher, using effective strategies for academic and behavioral success.
• Prepare for and participate in parent conferences and interdisciplinary team meetings.
• Assume responsibilities during after school emergencies including student supervision and communication.
• Provide support for curricular and extracurricular activities and events that support student life.
• Complete instructional-related duties as assigned by supervising teachers and administrators.
• Provide independent instruction, supervision, and classroom management in the absence of the supervising teacher.
• Implement behavioral protocols and assignments for students during instructional and non-instructional times.
• Engage in ongoing professional development and staff meetings.
• Assist with the integration of technology in instructional design and delivery.
