Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Texas educational aide certificate required.
• Experience preferred working with children with disabilities.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher in preparing instructional materials and displays.
• Work with students individually or in small groups on activities.
• Support implementation of Individual Education Programs.
• Assist in administering and scoring assignments and tests.
• Monitor and supervise students in all areas of the school day.
• Keep a neat, orderly classroom and manage supplies.
• Help maintain records and prepare reports.
• Participate in staff development and meetings.
• Orient substitutes and support classroom technology use.
• Notify teacher of any student needs or issues.
• Uphold school rules and policies and maintain confidentiality.
• Assist with inventory and maintenance of materials.
