Job summary

Utica Community Schools is seeking a Special Education Teacher Assistant for Personal Care, working 6 hours daily from 8:50am to 3:50pm with a 1-hour lunch. Location may shift based on student needs and programs.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent is required.
• Ability to assist student(s) with personal needs including hygiene, diapering, toileting and clothing.
• Ability to follow through with prescribed behavioral management or instructional programs.
• Maintain confidentiality and professional conduct in all student interactions.

Responsibilities

• Assist students with personal care and daily activities.
• Support students with multiple challenges in classroom and school environment.
• Maintain records and communicate with parents as required.
• Be adaptable to assignment changes across different sites based on student needs.
