Job summary

Rock Hill School District is seeking a paraprofessional to support elementary students. A high school diploma is required; college background is preferred, with at least 60 semester hours, or an associate degree.

Candidates must pass the ParaPro Assessment (ETS) with a passing score, demonstrate outstanding verbal and written communication, and be cooperative with supervising teachers. SLED background check is required; position starts immediately and runs 185 days at 7.5 hours per day.

Qualifications

• High school diploma required; college background preferred.
• At least 60 semester hours or an associate degree or an approved assessment.
• ParaPro Assessment with passing score (456) required within six months.
• Outstanding verbal and written communication skills.
• Experience with elementary school students preferred.
• Cooperative and able to work with supervising teachers and staff.
• Interpersonal relations with pupils, parents, teachers, staff and the public.
• Able to meet dexterity and physical requirements and assist exceptional children.
• Satisfactory SLED background check.
• Starting date immediately upon selection.
