Responsibilities

• Work with SPED students according to IEP goals.
• Provide information to teachers to support instruction.
• Assist students individually or in groups with lessons.
• Anticipate and intervene in potentially dangerous situations.
• Supervise students in class, meals, recess, and during transportation.
• Assist with seclusion/restraint procedures as necessary per IEP.
• Support student participation in classroom activities.
• Assist with feeding and health care needs as required.
• Maintain classroom order and discipline under teacher guidance.
• Demonstrate physical stamina to perform essential tasks (lift up to 50 pounds).
