Job summary

Toyota Ventures is looking for a dedicated Special Education Assistant Teacher to support our elementary school team in St. Louis, Missouri. In this role, you will work closely with lead teachers to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) and provide academic and behavioral support to students.

Your responsibilities will include facilitating tailored lessons, supporting positive classroom behavior, and promoting inclusion. A Bachelor’s degree is preferred along with substitute certification. If you have experience with special needs education, we encourage you to apply.

Qualifications

• Experience working with students with special needs in an educational setting preferred.
• Must pass a comprehensive background check.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the implementation of Individualized Education Plans (IEPs).
• Support positive classroom behavior and collaborate with teachers.
• Help deliver tailored lessons using diverse instructional strategies.
• Provide academic and social-emotional support during lessons.
• Assist with physical care and medical needs of students.
• Communicate regularly with families about student progress.
