Job summary

Qualifications

• Must have AA degree or pass tests in Reading, Writing, and Mathematics.
• Able to pass Oregon Department of Education Criminal History Background checks and pre-employment drug screen.
• High School Diploma or equivalent as required by OAR 581-37-030, Oregon Department of Education.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers in planning and implementing learning experiences for students.
• Assist in devising strategies for reinforcing material based on individual needs.
• Assist in instruction of students in group or one-on-one settings; revise plans as directed by licensed teacher to meet IEP goals.
• Provide for identified physical needs of students such as toileting and feeding.
• Maintain confidentiality and ethical behavior; support classroom management.
