Job summary

Qualifications

• Education: High school diploma or GED.
• Experience: Experience as a teacher aide or with children.
• Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: ability to follow lesson plans, work with individuals or small groups, lift up to 25 pounds, operate standard office and audio-visual equipment, and maintain patience and flexibility.

Responsibilities

• Assist teachers by performing instructional duties and preparing classroom materials.
• Supervise student behavior and apply behavior management techniques.
• Read to students and conduct language activities as directed by the speech therapist.
• Assist in centers and with materials; participate in classroom activities like discussions and games.
• Operate equipment such as DVD players, data projectors, and smartboards.
