Job summary

Highland Local Schools has an opening for four (4) Special Education Aide positions at Granger Elementary School. These roles will be 5.5 hours per day for the 2026-27 school year.

Responsibilities include working with individuals or small groups under teacher direction, supporting students with special education needs, and maintaining confidentiality. Candidates must obtain Ohio background checks and a state certificate to serve as an aide.

The Highland Local School District has openings for four (4) Special Education Aides for Intensive Needs classrooms at Granger Elementary School. These positions will be for 5.5 hours per day beginning with the 2026-27 school year.

QUALIFICATIONS:
High School Diploma or G.E.D. is required. Strong work ethic, flexibility, positive interactiveabilities with students and adults, and a total understanding and acceptance of the rules of confidentiality. This person will also need to obtain background checks and a certificate from the State of Ohio to serve as an aide.

JOB DUTIES:

SALARY:
The person selected to fill this position will be placed at the appropriate step of the salary schedule contained in the negotiated agreement between the Highland Support Staff and the Highland Board of Education.
