Job summary

Manor Independent School District seeks an Educational Associate - Special Education to assist a certified teacher in supporting students with disabilities, implementing classroom programs, self-help, behavior management, and instruction under supervision.

Requirements include a high school diploma or GED, Texas educational aide certificate, and passing MISD paraprofessional test. Duties cover materials prep, supervision, records, confidentiality, and crisis intervention as needed.

Responsibilities

Help teacher prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
Help maintain a neat and orderly classroom.
Help with inventory, care, and maintenance of equipment.
Help teacher keep administrative records and prepare required reports.
Provide orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
Help manage behavior of students; intervene in crisis situations as needed.
Assume responsibility for learning and adapting to each student’s needs.
Work with individuals or small groups to develop motor skills and conduct instructional exercises.
