Job summary

Wimberley Independent Sch Dist seeks an Educational Aide to support special education classrooms and transitional/self-contained settings. You will assist teachers with materials, maintain order, manage equipment inventory, and help with records and substitutes.

You will aid students with physical and educational needs, including transferring, feeding, hygiene, and behavior support, under supervision. Bilingual skills are a plus.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Preferred Texas educational aide certificate (candidate responsible for obtaining).
• Ability to work with children with disabilities and follow instructions; communicate effectively.

Responsibilities

• Assist in instructional materials preparation and classroom displays.
• Maintain a neat, orderly classroom and manage inventory of equipment.
• Support in administrative records and reports; assist substitutes.
• Assist students with physical disabilities, including transfers in and out of wheelchairs.
• Supervise students during meals, bus, and playground; monitor safety and behavior.
