Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent and ability to pass a content-oriented exam.
• Associate degree or 48 semester hours of college credit.
• Current Texas educational aide certificate or ability to obtain.
• Some experience working with children.

Responsibilities

• Helps teacher prepare instructional materials and classroom displays.
• Maintains a neat and orderly classroom and assists with inventory and equipment.
• Keeps administrative records and prepares required reports.
• Provides orientation and assistance to substitute teachers.
• Assists students with physical needs and mobility.
• Supervises students during the school day, including lunchroom and bus duty.
• Follows district safety protocols and participates in meetings.
