Academy District 20 is seeking a SpEd Paraprofessional to support students with Significant Support Needs (SSN) at Liberty High School in Colorado Springs. The role operates under licensed staff, assists with daily activities, and helps implement individualized education plans in diverse settings.

Responsibilities include classroom support, behavior management, data collection, and collaboration with teachers and therapists.

Qualifications

• High school graduate - high school diploma or equivalent.
• Experience supporting students with special needs is preferred.
• Ability to follow teacher instructions and classroom routines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with daily activities of teaching special education students under supervision.
• Support students with meals, toileting, and daily living tasks as directed.
• Assist with instructional activities and learning goals in various environments.
• Monitor student behavior and safety, following established plans.
• Prepare and maintain materials and equipment for lessons.
