Job summary

Waller High School in Waller, Texas, seeks a Paraprofessional-Specialized Services to support SPED students under the supervision of the special education teacher. The position is non-exempt, with an hourly pay range of $15.63 and 7.5 hours daily across 187 days per year.

You will assist with physical, social, emotional, and instructional needs of students in both special education and general settings, including data collection and instructional support under the ECSE/ISET/RESET/SAILS/CANS

Qualifications

High School Diploma or GED required.
Texas Education Aide Certification Preferred.
Ability to work with children with disabilities.
Ability to follow verbal and written directives.
Ability to communicate effectively; bilingual preferred.

Responsibilities

Help meet the individual needs of students including transferring to and from wheelchairs and positioning.
Assist with feeding, bathroom needs, and personal hygiene.
Support in managing behavior and crisis intervention as needed.
Work with students in small groups to develop motor skills and activities.
Maintain confidentiality and assist with instructional materials and records.
