Job summary

Northwest ISD in Trophy Club, TX is seeking a Special Education Teacher Aide for the SOAR program. The aide supports students with significant or low-incidence disabilities in special education and general education settings under the supervision of a certified teacher.

Responsibilities include assisting with instructional programs, behavior management, data recording, and in-class support for self-care activities, mobility, and transitions.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Paraprofessional Aide certification from the state of Texas preferred.
• Ability to work effectively with children with disabilities.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions.
• Strong communication skills and familiarity with general office equipment.
• Capability to physically assist students as needed.

Responsibilities

• Adhere to district policies for special education aides.
• Assist in implementing instructional programs and behavior management.
